UAE Grants Two-Month Grace Period for Residency Violators to Regularize Their Status Starting Next September

The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Ports Security has issued a decision to grant a grace period for residency violators to regularize their status starting from September 1, 2024, for a duration of two months. During this period, they will be exempted from financial penalties and allowed to adjust their status or leave the country with ease.

The decision by the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Ports Security aims to provide violators with a new opportunity to adjust their status in accordance with the law, considering their circumstances and reflecting the values of mercy and tolerance on which the UAE was founded.
